I love the way youīve made it, not just the way it looks, but the process, itīs like making an image from what it really is to the computer; a code. ( thatīs what i think when i saw it and read the process, i donīt really know what you think about it )
I see that the red and black letters read out the alphabet and for each line from the center out the red acquires another letter starting with A. So line 1 is completely black letters, line two has one red "A", line three has two red letters "A, B" and so it goes.
Man, I've had this on my fav's list for a while and it just popped back on today. I'm wondering, how did you make it? I'd love to know the specifics and I think it'd be fun to try something similar myself.
i used actionscript to generate text fields with one letter each. to be more specific:
-i used two for loops and polar coordinates
-i used one of the polar coordinates (distance) to set text size and angle offset
-i used the two indexes from the for loops in an if expresion to decide which letters are big and wich small
i must tell you that flash wasnt one bit happy with generateing all this text in one frame (i had to wait out a couple of 'this script makes your comp freeze' errors) after that i presed the print button in flash player and cought the vectors with distiler which i than edited in illustrator to fix some uglines flash made.
thats it. if theres anithing else youd like to know ask
